So I’ve been tagged by Jamie (she can be found at http://jamieleescott.com) and here are the answers to the top ten questions of my book. I think today we shall talk about Maybe It’s You. Book two of my Bloomington Series, after Quotable. This is Lorianne’s story.
What genre does your book fall under? Maybe It’s You is contemporary.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? I might consider Brad Pitt as Ashton Turner III and Charlize Theron as Lorianne.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? How can a girl who’s been rejected by Once Upon A Time ever believe that happily-ever-after even exists?
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? This book is available through Amazon.com; currently as an ebook, self-published. (see link below)
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? This book flew from my fingertips. 80k words in four months. Good, huh!
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? While some of the subject matter is a bit heavy, (the hero’s father is quite abusive) there is a strong sense of humor and self-searching within Lorianne.
Who or What inspired you to write this book? I’m not quite sure I was inspired to write it compared to its force to burst out of me.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? I love the relationship between the two young women. They are different, unlikely friends, but truly care for one another.
